How AI is giving Northern Ireland's teachers' children back

Accept the opportunity that comes, with responsibility
We believe that the promise of AI in education can only be realized by developing it in the right way. One important aspect of this is that we always do it in close cooperation with all educational institutions. When my team and I met with Harvey Dathan, the interim head of C2K, he emphasized this point. He shared that the pilot's success was accelerated by a collaborative group of educators sharing its lessons, as well as the need to train and support continued development in AI readiness.
“I believe teachers need to embrace the opportunity,” said Darian Harvey, interim head of C2K.
After the success of the pilot, C2K plans to roll out the Gemini training to more teachers across Ireland. We believe this is just the beginning. We hope to continue exploring relationships like this, learning directly from teachers who use technology on how to adapt to good mock-up products for students.
As we continue to navigate from learning AI to learning, it's important that our products empower teachers, not replace them. Teachers must maintain ownership of the method ai is using to help their students learn. As I often say: technology is not magic, teachers are.
