Google AI Studio Adds 'Import from GitHub' to Build Mode, Converts an Existing Repo into a Programmable, Usable App
Google AI Studio releases an 'import from GitHub' feature within it Build it mode. It takes the repo and converts it to a format compatible with the runtime. You can then keep iterating on it, using it, and more. The update was shared by the Google AI Studio account and Logan Kilpatrick, who leads the product.

A new feature adds a starting point. Instead of an empty prompt, you point to Build in the GitHub repository. AI Studio then converts the repo into a format compatible with its runtime.
The flow has three parts:

How Import Flow Works
Google has not yet published the internal measures. In simple terms, the importer reads the repo, compares it to the runtime, and opens it in Build. The interactive walkthrough embedded below is a conceptual add-on, not an actual backend.
