Google announces new community investment in Missouri

As we deepen our roots in Missouri with a new data center in Montgomery County, we are responsibly expanding infrastructure, improving energy affordability, and creating new job opportunities.

Through our Capacity Commitment Framework agreement with Ameren, we are supporting the development of more than 500 megawatts of additional capacity, helping to ensure that we cover our own operating and infrastructure costs. We're also establishing a $20 million Energy Impact fund to help lower household utility bills through targeted home climate improvement and efficiency programs.

Our data centers act as economic engines, generating nine local jobs for every direct location created. To prepare Missourians for skilled roles, we fund local workforce programs, including helping the Labor and Contracts Training Center train thousands of new construction workers and educators in Montgomery County by supporting the Eastern Missouri Construction Workers and Contractors Joint Training Fund.
