Google AI announcements since January

We announced Personal Intelligence in the Gemini app. Now you can securely connect your Google apps like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube and Search to make Gemini even more useful. Personal Intelligence is now available as a beta in the US, and we will bring it to more countries soon. Opt-in, so you choose whether to turn it on and you can specify which apps you do and don't want it to run on.

We've brought Personal Intelligence to AI Mode in search. Personal Intelligence has been released in AI Mode, making Search even more unique. Starting with Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, you can safely log in and connect to AI Mode in apps like Gmail and Google Photos to get personalized responses, including recommendations for things like shopping and travel.

We've introduced the next evolution of AI in Gmail, built for the Gemini era. AI tools like Help Me Write, AI Overview and suggested personalization responses are now available in Gmail for free. Google One AI Ultra and Pro subscribers have access to new features like AI Overview in Gmail search and Validation, for improved grammar, tone and style checks. Finally — for a select selection of loyal testers — we've introduced AI Inbox, a new look at Gmail that helps cut through the noise of your inbox to see what's most important.

We've made Chrome even smarter and more useful with Gemini 3. Chrome's major new features, built into Gemini 3, include a seamless auto-browsing feature that handles complex, multi-step tasks — like booking a trip or scheduling appointments — entirely on your behalf. Also, Chrome now offers the ability to use Nano Banana to convert images on the web. And the new side panel reimagines multitasking by keeping your favorite Google apps at your fingertips. This update transforms Chrome from a window to the web into a powerful productivity partner.
