AI tools developed by Google, such as DeepPolisher, DeepVariant and DeepConsensus have played an important role in this development, and what once felt like a moon shot can be achieved: a comprehensive catalog that includes the complete picture of biology, changing science as we know it.

The technology we build at Google has a powerful impact when scientists use it to solve real-world problems. In order to continue the important work of the Vertebrate Genome Lab and the Earth BioGenome Project, Google.org has recently named Rockefeller University as a recipient of the AI ​​for Science fund to expand the above number to 150 additional species – all of which will be freely released to the scientific community and the public.
