Gemma Vision is an AI assistant designed for the visually impaired. The engineer's brother, who was blind, played an important role in ensuring features that were really useful to the blind community.
Because holding the phone can be distracting while using the cane, the system is designed to process images from the phone's camera strapped to the user's chest. Tasks can be triggered using the 8bitto remote control or voice commands, allowing users to perform actions without navigating menus on the touch screen.
