A hosting platform for your website, where you can showcase your portfolio and other useful resources about yourself. Before making my switch, I was using WordPress for about a year, and I started thinking about a few things that were difficult when using WordPress:
- Creating a website – it was difficult to achieve the design I wanted
- Slow – Creating and updating in WordPress is slow because it is a drag and drop editor
- Lack of flexibility – you have to use professional components. Alternatively, you can use custom HTML code, but then you have to copy the code over, which is slower
Then I thought how easy it would be to edit my own website using an agentic coding tool like code or pointer.
Why do I spend so much time dragging and dropping elements, and still can't get the design I want, when I can speed up Claude's code to do exactly that in 1 minute?
That's when I decided to make the switch to WordPress to manage my website, which was used in Vercel (free). The main point of this article is to show you how to do this and why you don't really need any programming experience to do it.

Why code on your website
The main reason you should start installing your website, instead of using a drag-and-drop editor like WordPress or WebLow, is:
- It's easy to do – you don't have to touch any code
- It's fast to create and update your website
- The designs are the best, because the coding agents are good at performing high-level skills
Because it's fast, you can also take your website designs quickly, which is a big help when you're trying to make a great website.
The rapid pace of iTearation is the key to rapid progress
Of course, there are some arguments otherwise, for example, that press has many integrations that can be useful. However, for me, Prons goes far beyond.
Being able to update my website with just one input, such as:

This updates my entire website in about 1 minute (including the Claude update code and sending to vercel). Doing this same action in WordPress probably took me at least 30 minutes.
Now imagine that you have to do this conversion several times a week. Whenever you add new content to your website, or when you realize you want to change something. Converting it directly to code with code agents is simply more efficient.

I hope you're convinced why you should start coding your website (or allow dirty code on your own), instead of using a drag-and-drop editor. Now, let's move on to how you can do it.
The big secret here is that you don't really have to do it yourself, considering how good coding agents are at building websites. I am building a website from my pre-WordPress-Hoted-Hoted website.
I started to give up the code of cloud and the following, there eivindkjosbakken.com it was my WordPress site:

by using React. Create a GitHub repository and push the code thereClaude's code then created a near replica of my previous website, which I can now run. I checked the designs and made sure everything was correct, which for the most part was, except for a few things, which I will cover in the next section.
Hosting the Website
Then I moved into website hosting. I use vercel since it offers free shipping for your website, and it's easy to use and completely controllable from signal. Having it managed from the terminal is very nice, so Claude can take care of shipping and other issues with vercel.
However, when posting started, I had to create a project vercel.com and link my codebase to that project. You can ask any LLM how to do this, and they will give you a direct step-by-step guide to connecting your code to vercel. Vercel also gives you 100 free monsters per day, which should be more than enough.
After connecting to Vercel, everything was good to go, and I found my website on the web.
Updating the Website
After copying my WordPress website, I also found some updates that I wanted to make for my website. I, for example, want:
These changes were quick to make, and if only they had to be quick with the meaning of my change (ie, make flashcards for the essays above), and made the change in less than a minute. Making this change with a drag-and-drop editor may take a long time.
Now, only your imagination can stop you from renewing your website, and literally, make any change and immediately enter the designs by simply motivating your coding agent.
WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES FOR WHOM?
Claude very fondly shot a recreation of my old WordPress website into code, from the URL of my website. However, there were some problems that I had to solve, as you can see written below:
- My WordPress had an option to send emails to me
- I had to copy some images from the old website, for example, for my articles (hand processes)
- Some issues with social links – finding the right ones, and making sure they are of high quality
- WordPress has a mailing list, and I had to manage that somehow myself now
- Moving over the domain from WordPress to namecheap
For e-mails, I used e-mails so that you have the option to send e-mails from my website. This service is free and easy to set up after requesting a step-by-step guide from your coding agent.
For image copying, I just downloaded the images from your site, put them in the Code Repository, and told Claude's code where to find the images. Claude then copied the images into a specific image folder, so they could be hosted on the website.
With the social links, I had to speed up Claude a few times, with the screen of social connections how it looks (with one point, and they look a lot, and Claude will solve the problem with three to four incentives.
For the mailing list, I decided to submit e-mailerlite, which offers embedded forms that you can use on your website to get people to sign up with their email. You can simply provide the embedded form to your coding agent, which will move it to your website.
Moving domains was a time-consuming task. I had purchased my previous domain from WordPress, which made the process a bit trickier. However, I did a Gemini 3 tutorial giving me a step-by-step tutorial, which still works well, and transfer domains to Namecheap, where I have complete domain control.

In this article, I have discussed how to move your website from a drag-and-drop editor like WordPress or WebLow to your hosted website. This process is simplified by using coding agents and vercel, which gives you more control over your website. In addition, it allows you to profit more quickly from your website and makes it easier to update your website.
I believe that we are only from Draund-and-Drop editors, when we see how today's coding agents work, and the fact that you no longer really need coding experience, to make a simple program like updating the website design.
