Read Ruth Porat's words about the Cancer City Technology

Editor's note: Ruth Porat has recently been spoken in the US community of the annual Onselogoy meeting in Chicago. Below is written in his words.
We are living in a strange technology, AI and its application in all the most latest places – and far – great advances. Today, I want to share what we see in Google placed other AI opportunities in context – especially to support findings, treatment, care and treating cancer.
Throughout history, there has been a limited amount of technology that changes everything. The economy calls them “normal purposes of purposes” – may affect all the economy at national or land. They can change communities with their impact on economic and social structures. Common intent technology is very common: including Steam engine, electricity, Internet and now Ai. Their power is not for the first invention: In use it is performed there, using another name for the economic, “Differences” – throughout the economy.
As much as the Steam engine – invented earlier in publications outside the mines – showed its transforming power only when powling ships, trains and factories.
AI is one of those technologies. Like normal technology, it has great power in all four broad areas: first to drive economic growth. Economists estimate that if AI is used in all industries, we can cooperate with the world GDP of the $ 20 trillion in 2030.
The three remaining places are very related to health, and that is what I will use to cover today: To speed up scientific success, support better delivery and consequence of cyberuscurity.
To do cancer “Admission”
I come to you today first as a person who has the right to work with other best planet engineers, scientists, and investigators. I am the money if you use any of many search engines where to learn more about her, you will see that the Vivint is accepted as an Internet father.
I asked the door of the Internet with his view of the impact of an Internet related AI. And he said he believed AI was more powerful than the Internet, in his words, “because the power of the people waves. It is your partner with all of us, for us each.
I also come to you as a person who has become cancer – twice. When I first received, my children were too young: 5, 7 and 9. To me, like many of your patients, everything was good – until it wasn't. I went in with my normal seasonal mammogram and found that I had breast cancer. And then the trip started, leading to a double-masteromy and chemo.
The first thing that I heard was afraid – especially, fearing I didn't see it grow, and see who they would be, where they would be.
Two years later, I was also found with cancer. At that time, we did not give up, because I thought I could do my best. And then there was a greater chemo, further surgery, and rays.
What I have learned about the process: It's hard as my cancer was, for me it was controlled. And I've learned that that Word is “Claim” was my friend.
I know that I am one of the right care rights that I have found at the Sloan Ker Keter Keter Ketorial like my beautiful doctor now, Dr Cliff Hudis and ASCO. Thank you so much for everything – every step on the journey also take me. And then, good luck. By meeting above the Sloan Kettering Reminder was founded as New York Cancer Hospital on this day, May 31, in 1884.
Cancer cannot be managed in all patients, and it is certainly not all cancer. Just as AI helps to make cancer “innoclation” in many people – something, in itself, great progress – prevented preventable, and healing.
Today I want to take you into places that have the opportunity when I hope AI can help achieve that, and move us closer to the best goal of ASCO: “Overcoming Cancer through research, education, and promoting high-quality patient care. “
I will be the first to say that AI is not a Panacea, but I hope and believe that technology can support the work you pay. When I look in the room, I am humble to have some dedicated specialists who deliver the equipment to life each day.
