We all know that the job market in tech is tough right now. In this post, I break down a complete guide on how to prepare for Data Science and ML interviews so you have the best chance of success when interviewing in a competitive field.
The main thing I do differently with interview prep is, in fact, over-prepare. I set a ton of work in advance to anticipate what might be covered, and dig deeper into studying those topics to it looks like I have come up with clever, well-thought-out solutions over time.
After submitting an application, the first step is usually a short phone call with the recruiter. This call is usually straightforward, but you can – and should – be prepared to isolate yourself.
Here's what you need to do:
First, write and practice your pitch. This should be short – three to five sentences. There is a format for this that I really like: One sentence is where you are, another is where you are from, and another is where you want to go.
