According to the latest episode of the Google AI: Release Notes podcast, host Logan Kilpatrick sat down with CEO Sundar Pichai last week to discuss the unusual development – and future – of Google at Google.
Sundar shared the thinking behind going “No-start” all the way back in 2016, setting up the key investment that has led the company to this point. And in addition to current releases such as Gemini 3 and Nano Banana Pro, he also shared his excitement about long-term bets for the next decade, such as quantum computing. “I think for about five years I've been as excited about Quantum, hopefully, as we are with AI today,” he said.
