New updates and more access to Google Earth AI

When disasters strike, Google products like search and maps help billions of people make critical decisions to stay safe. Our flood forecasting database – now covering more than two billion people – provides life-saving predictions ahead of the worst river floods. With the help of organizations such as World Vision, they get drinking water and food to communities where they need it most. And during the destruction of the California wild, we provided crisis warnings with information from local authorities to 15 million people across Los Angeles while showing them where to find shelter on Google Maps. All of this is made possible by our GeoSpatial AI models, not only for floods and wildfires, but hurricanes, air quality and much more.
We recently launched Google Earth AI, bringing together these geospatial models to help address the Planet's most critical needs. Earth AI built on decades of modeling the World, combined with state of the art projection models and Gemini's advanced consulting, Emplofits achieves deep insights in minutes – efforts that required prior depth and years of research.
Today, we are developing in the world AI's DEAIS and capabilities, and expand the reach to the whole world. Here it is:
Connecting the dots on the grounds of geospatial reasoning
To solve a complex problem, you need to see the whole picture, not just one part of it. That's the idea behind geospatial thinking, a framework powered by gemini now lets ai automatically connect AI world models – such as climate modeling, satellite querying – to answer complex questions.
Instead of just seeing where a storm might hit, our latest research shows that analysts can use geospatial thinking to identify which infrastructure is most vulnerable and which type of infrastructure is most vulnerable all at once. For example, GeoStatial thinking enables non-profit organizations to respond to disasters by combining flood and population data, which helps identify who needs specific assistance.
